SUDOKU IS EVIL

Last time i flew I noticed the lady next to me was owning the Sudoku puzzle in the back of the Southwest Airlines magazine. I gave it my best but I can not for the life of me understand what I am supposed to do. The instructions simply say “Use logic to fill in the nine squares” - I tried for 40 minuted to understand the “logic” to filling in the blanks, it just served to make me feel inadequate and dumb. I would prefer hang man or M.A.S.H please.

  1. Fill in the blank squares and remember:

    • Each line of the puzzle must contain the numbers 1-9 without repeating.
    • Each column of the puzzle must contain the numbers 1-9 without repeating.
    • Each 3×3 box must contain the numbers 1-9 without repeating.

    Do it as fast as you can.
